Mahdi Bahrami, a game designer based in Isfahan, has been designing and making computer games inspired by Iranian geometry, art and architecture for more than a decade. These works allow the audience to interact with various geometric forms and patterns without requiring specialised mathematical knowledge or the skills to work with complex 3d applications. His games “Engare” and “Tandis” have been selected and showcased at various festivals and exhibitions in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Mehdi Bahrami's artworks:
Geometric forms and patterns can be observed almost everywhere in our daily life, from the leaves of an apartment plant to the decorations on the walls of a mosque. The project “Kamane” is an attempt to interact with the geometrical rules that form these patterns. It is an accessible space where we play with these rules, discovering and understanding more deeply the world that shapes these geometric patterns.
