Mohammad Mohammadkhani and Zahra Rezaian

Mohammad Mohammadkhani, born in 1994, graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Tehran. Following his studies, he embarked on both individual and collaborative ventures in architecture, graphic design, and urban planning. His unwavering focus has been on weaving a seamless connection between these three disciplines and the art of storytelling. Notably, he has contributed to illustrating the captivating “NeshaNevesht” book series.

Zahra Rezayan, born in 2002, is a student of interior architecture. Beyond her academic pursuits, she actively participates in acting and theater direction alongside the “Lotus” group. Her experience as an actress extends to a short film, enriching her artistic journey.

“Phantom Thread” (Or How I Learned to Perceive My Surroundings from Where I Stood)

Retired detective “29”, weary from the monotony of everyday existence, embarks on a quest to unravel a perennial question: “What is my connection to the present world?”

“With meticulous care, I assemble the necessary evidence and weave an intricate image of our world. Onto it, I affix fragments from books, interviews, and the works of historical luminaries. Yet, as I connect these clues, perplexity deepens. It’s as though truth lies dormant beneath a sinister skin of intertwined patterns, threatening to fragment.”

An excerpt from the diary of “29”.

“Yes. Since the dawn of intelligent thought, humanity has ceaselessly sought patterns to answer existential queries: How can I rediscover my relationship with this new world? Does history inexorably absorb me, leaving no niche for my existence in this evolving realm?”

…“ And finally, did you uncover an answer?”

“An answer?! Must we delve into the circumstances of predecessors or contemporaries to find it? My apologies…, yes…the answer lies in…”
