Mo Tazari is an internationally award-winning multidisciplinary Art\Sci new media artist and curator based in Tehran.

He received his B.A in Painting from the Faculty of Arts & Architecture of IAU, Tehran.

Mo’s artistic journey has been deeply influenced by chaos theory, fractals, and generative patterns inspired by nature. Utilizing advanced computational techniques, he generates intricate works through mathematical formulas and algorithms, creating a unique intersection of art, science, geometry, and vibrating patterns. Mo’s work embodies the concept of “Everything is Connected”.

His work has been showcased in international festivals and exhibitions across the US, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, Greece, Ukraine, Portugal and UAE.
Mo’s accolades include the MADATAC X’s The Best Video Art Award for 

“The Cosmo Fractal” (2019) and curating an exhibition featuring Nonotak (2022). 

Mo has collaborated with the legendary artists such as Kangding Ray, Emancipator, Bob Moses, Agents of Time, in several A\V performances as visual artist in London.

In 2022, he founded TORUS Studio, focusing on artistic commercials and advertisements. He is also the co-curator at sēkwens London.

In 2023, he was featured in Sónar, a leading festival for advanced music and new media art.

FRACTAL ART SERIES BY MO TAZARI

Natural architecture is defined by an organizing structure, and fractal geometry provides a tangible way to understand and describe this structure.

Fractals are mathematical representations of irregularity and chaotic phenomena, embodying order within disorder and woven into the fabric of reality. They hint at a deep connection, where the macrocosm mirrors the microcosm, linking the inner and outer realms, high above and so below.

Self-similarity forms the essence of fractals. where parts resemble the whole, infinitely iterated within a finite space, creating symmetry in all dimensions.

In mathematics, self-similarity means that when the entire structure is scaled, the resulting shape remains similar to the original, preserving relative proportions and internal angles.

In a perfect fractal like the famous Mandelbrot set, also known as the «Thumbprint of God», this self-similarity extends infinitely deep: each pattern is a smaller copy of itself, manifesting unity in diversity.

Fractal geometry demonstrates a specific connection between all things, indicating that the diverse universe is not separate from its origin.

The visual data created by fractals naturally occur in our conscious perception. In human and animal nervous systems, electrical signalling, and in plants, growth, is a fractal process. 

Meditation, psychedelic experiences, dreaming, or even closing eyes and applying pressure to the optic nerve can induce a fractal process in our visual perception.

Fractal geometry acts as a strong stimulus for the brain, generating intense spiritual emotions in a short time. The fractal characteristics in religious architectural patterns may symbolize infinite divinity and balance.
