Shaghayegh Mohajeri

Shaghayegh Mohajeri has graduated in graphic art, restoration of historic structures, and clothing and textile repair. A thorough examination of the decorating patterns revealed a quality, which cannot be found in any other contemporary artwork. Due to her love for fashion designing, she started creating a collection based on the places she has the experience of living in to bridge the gap between the present-day human and the quality he easily ignores.

During the designing process, she does not consider the practicality of the clothes or even how to actualize them. Only after the completion of the design does she think about the solutions and proper materials; this is the most enjoyable step for her. The practicality of the clothes is trivial even after the final work is ready as to her, they are only wearable forms.

Throughout our lives, we experience some thoughts and imaginations, which form our perception of our surroundings. Everyone’s experiences and personal feelings in every space are unique to them based on their background.  We are not able to live someone else’s experience. However, we can share a small part of our personal experience with others with the help of art.

I designed and created these forms to share my experience of living in places that I have a sense of belonging to and was inspired by their beauty. They are in fact part of my entity. The artworks in this collection are not limited to architecture, light, or sound, but they incorporate the individual’s presence and interaction with these factors.
