Kamran Afshar Naderi, co-founder of Memar Magazine and the Memar Award for architecture, is an architect, critic of architecture, designer, and artist who has published 220 articles and 3 books. His design works, architectural projects, and sculptures have been featured in authoritative design magazines such as Domus and Designboom.
His artistic career focuses on large-scale sculptural panels, primarily using ordinary and reflective steel. He draws inspiration from nature, mythology, ancient geometry, and perspective. His “Tree of Life” sculpture (h=9.30m, w=3.50m), installed at the IFCM institute in Lyon, was unveiled by Christophe Castaner, the former French Minister of Interior.
As a designer, Afshar Naderi has created several unique furniture pieces by commission. His first limited edition furniture set, “The Guardians,” received the silver prize in the A’ Design Award and Competition. This work has been exhibited at the Niavaran Cultural Center and the Guest House of the Italian Embassy.
